This session was beautiful, joyful and such a pleasure to shoot! I’m not going to say much, because I really want the photos to speak here. You may remember Amy and Sean from their wedding a little over a year ago. The same infectious joy they had on that day has carried over into pure delight as they prepare to welcome Miss Lucy. And while I could have taken a very long time choosing photos for this entry, that little miss could enter the world any day!
If ever there was a perfect photo shoot, this may have been it. Mary Catherine was willing to do a sunrise shoot, and between the beautiful light and her loveliness, I couldn’t wait to get home and get to work on these shots. Not only is she gorgeous, but she is so sure in who she is as well as what her style is (did I mention she designed the gorgeous black dress with the sash below?) – I can’t wait to see the amazing things she’s going to do with her life!
I met little Miss Kylie and her mama through a It’s a Preemie Thing giveaway. I was super excited to be a part of these, seeing as I have my own little preemie at home. Despite the crazy heat that day, Kylie was sweet and smiley… especially when ice cream time came around! By the way, doesn’t she have the most striking eyes? She is gorgeous!
Every person I talked to at this wedding had had their lives affected by this beautiful couple. They are sweet, completely in love and were absolutely a dream to photograph. I had nearly a hundred photos I wanted to put into this single blog… but don’t worry, I did cut them down a little (really, I know it doesn’t look like it, but I did). Onto the photos…

As I’m always saying, I love families I go way back with. Meghan was my college roommate, and this weekend our families were “housemates” as she opened her house to us while we were on the road. My little one and her’s were fast friends. The last time I photographed this little family, little Emmy was only 5 days old. As you can see, she’s grown up quite a bit since then, although she was not a big fan of having her picture taken. And Abby? Well, this little one was on the go. She just turned 2 and is full of adorable little girl energy. I love those sparkly eyes, pouty lips and chubby cheeks! To sum it up, I love this family, I loved this location (I seriously wanted to take it home with me) and I love these photos.
