Jennifer and Anthony’s Love Story {Topeka Wedding Photographer}

As Jen was getting ready to walk down the aisle, she told us that she was so nervous and that she wouldn’t be alright until she saw him. And it was true, they locked eyes as she walked down the aisle, and I don’t think they looked away for the majority of the wedding. I’m so glad I was able to be a part of this day.

This barn alone made me want to move to Topeka so I could use it more often.

This picture kind of sums up this wedding party. Jessie probably made some remark, Jen is laughing at it and everyone else is reacting to them laughing.

The rings are on the rhubarb pie Anthony’s mom made for him… because he doesn’t like cake.  Isn’t that sweet?!

The Heppler Family {Atchison Family Photographer}

This was the last time I’ll photograph one of my favorite little families before Jake leaves for basic training (Air Force).  Anthony is a little over one now and way more mobile than the last time I saw them.  In fact, both he and his sister were on the move every second of our shoot.  I wouldn’t have had it any other way, though… they were all kid all the time and I love the images we got from this shoot.

Kathleen - You are so talented! I can’t say it enough!!!

Alzbeta - Thanks, Kathleen! You are always so sweet, I love seeing your comments and I love your work!

A weekend in Kansas {Topeka, Atchison and Kansas City wedding, family and engagement photographer}

Whew.  This weekend was incredibly crazy… but so much fun!   I was blessed to be able to photograph a wedding, an engagement and four families.  Many of these families I’ve been photographing from before the wedding, so I always love these opportunities to come back to Kansas and document their families for a little while.

So, this is just a teensy-weensy peek the wonderful people I spent this weekend with.

Started with these two feisty kids.  They gave me a workout :).  This is one family I’ve been photographing for a long time now.  You can check out their last shoot here.

Then followed an absolutely gorgeous wedding.  I am beyond psyched about the location we did some of the photos (can you say gorgeous old barn).

And then another favorite family!  You can check out there last shoot here and marvel in the absolute cuteness.

And a new family!  I love that most of my work comes from referrals, and I met this wonderful family through the above family.  Four girls, all lovely, but each with their very own distinct personality.

And… for a little change of pace, some engagement pictures.  These two were so much fun to shoot!  They were sweet and so very in love.

And one last… not only does this little boy have the sweetest smile ever, but this is another little family I’ve known and photographed since his parents got engaged!  Little Ben, it was so good to meet you!

I can’t wait to tell you more about this past weekend… but first it’s time to get down to work!

Life with Kaishon - Holy cow! You did all of that in one weekend? AMAZING! Amazing. : ) I love the dangling legs the very best I think. All of the shots are gorgeous though. Visiting via your comment at Enjoying the Small Things above mine. So nice to meet you : ) I am just stunned at how many things you can shoot in one weekend. WOW!

Alzbeta - Nice to meet you, as well! Because I only make it to that part of the state once or twice a year, I have to fit in all of my clients in one fell swoop… so it does get really crazy, but totally worth it! I think my years in college working for the paper and the PR department trained me when there were a million things going on in one day.

Sarah {Colorado Portrait Photographer}

Sarah and I referred to this as “our exercise in creativity.”  We spent a couple of hours thrift store shopping and then put our new pieces to good use.  With Sarah’s acting skills and willingness to try anything, we had an awesome shoot!  I’ll share more later, but wanted to give you something pretty to look at while I’m off shooting this weekend.  Enjoy!

Paula Wostenberg - Gorgeous!
