The Jackson Family [Colorado Family Photographer]

This family holds a special place in my heart.  A little over a year ago, they were one of my first Colorado shoots.  I was pregnant and sick a good portion of the time, and Sarah shared her pregnancy stories from her beautiful twins.  While I didn’t know I would have a preemie at the time, we talked about the girls’ time in the hospital, and I thought back to it often when our Nugget spent her month in the hospital.  Now, another wonderful baby girl has been added to this spunky bunch!  After some complications of her own and a few days in the hospital, she is officially healthy and home!  I got to not only photograph the growing big sisters and their awe at the new baby, but capture a few newborn portraits as well.  What a happy day!

The Hartman Family [Thornton Family Photographer]

November 29, 2010 

Today I was able to photograph a super fun family.  They heard of me through my lovely MiL, thanks to her picture of Miss Anni on her desk.  Despite the dropping temperatures, I had an awesome time using their backyard (you heard me right, this is their sweet backyard!) to capture their family… and obviously I was so excited I had to sit down immediately to get a sneak peek out! 

These two were a photographer’s dream!  They were up for anything and their dad kept them (and me) laughing the whole time.

The adorable (and active!) little cousin was definitely ready to play.


Today was awesome!  Thank you so much for letting me capture your family’s joy!

Kelsey and Michael [Colorado Engagement Photographer]

Ah…back to Colorado. I got to explore a new part of downtown Denver as well discover that I definitely hadn’t seen all of Wash Park.  Despite a rough start (all my fault… losing my wallet, therefore not having money to park and then realizing I didn’t have Kelsey’s number!), the shoot was great!  Kelsey and Michael went with the flow and were simply themselves: a photographer’s dream!

The Willis Family [Atchison Family Photographer]

This family is another one of my “from the beginning” families (can you tell I spent some time at my alma-mater with all of these).  While I wasn’t able to shoot their wedding, I took their engagement pictures and one year pictures of Miss Agnes.  Now Rose is one and I got to take some more!  This was such a fun shoot and while the girls were a little shy, their absolute cuteness and distinct personalities shone through.  (Plus they have the prettiest matching dresses!  I love that shade of blue.)
