You may remember this couple their engagement session a few months ago. Their wedding day was full of a lot of good music, laughter and some tears… and I’m just going to let you check out the pictures for yourself… you’ll see what I mean.
This wedding was… perfection. It was completely steeped in tradition as Mollie wore her grandmother’s dress and her mother’s diamond in her ring, but the day was definitely tailored to this couple. Mollie wore amazing blue shoes with peacock feather, gave her bridesmaids bangles touched to the Holy Sepulchre and the groomsmen brought along a fire truck, because, yes, the groom and his groomsmen are all Estes Park volunteer firefighters.
And did I mention that my family was there, too? See, my husband and Mollie were next door neighbors and playmates for several years before my husband’s family moved to Colorado and then we all re-connected (or just plain connected in my case) in college. Not only was I photographing the wedding, but my husband’s father was presiding over the vows. This is actually the second wedding I’ve gotten to be a part of that combination, and it’s so much fun!
Okay, enough talk, just go soak in this amazing wedding. You’re going to love it as much I did, I just know it.
So much beauty and joy. These are marvelous Alzbe.
What a sweet family! I’ve been lucky enough to know the Cotter’s since my college days (Lisa was a RD) and now Kevin, Lisa and my husband all work together at FOCUS. I’m grateful to have such a lovely family to look up to, as well as photograph… because in addition to being just wonderful, they are super adorable!
This wedding was so intimate and unique. It was on a rainy Monday in August, and each detail was given importance and thought by the bride and groom. As you can see, I was in love with the rings. They both have the same inscription: “Duc in Altum” which means launch into the deep. What a beautiful way to describe marriage! Even the centerpieces at the reception were personalized. All the books, tea cups and other antiques were from the bride’s home, reflections of themselves as a couple.
